Meaningful Use is the common term for the EHR incentive program that began in 2011. Meaningful Use really accomplished three goals during it’s first five years in existence:
- Standardize data set for all patients and data interchange
- Statistical and quality reporting based on endorsed procedures.
- Organizations taking ownership of electronic protected health information.
