Meaningful UsePQRSValue Based Modifier
Meaningful Use is the common term for the EHR incentive program that began in 2011. Meaningful Use really accomplished three goals during it’s first five years in existence:

  1. Standardize data set for all patients and data interchange
  2. Statistical and quality reporting based on endorsed procedures.
  3. Organizations taking ownership of electronic protected health information.
The Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) is a claims based quality reporting system. Different measures are endorsed for different specialties. The Chart Talk patient engagement and reporting platform is designed to be able to be customized for your workflow to tackle any quality measure.
The value based modifier program ties quality and cost of care into a clinical performance measure. To read more about the value based modifier, take a look at the CMS website.
